Finding Dory is finally out!

13:29:00

Hey guys!

After a long and eager waiting of about 13 years, it is finally out in theatres. Yes I am talking about the Disney Pixar Production 'Finding Dory'.

Be it upcoming exams or other important stuff that we have to do, most of us took out time to watch this amazing movie (If you haven't watched it yet, please go ahead and watch it). I watched it on Sunday and totally loved it. I loved the new characters introduced in the film and I will stand by the fact that there shouldn't be any comparison between 'Finding Dory' and 'Finding Nemo' as both the films are unique in their own ways.

As you might be wondering what this post is about, let me clarify that it's certainly not a review. Because there is nothing bad about this movie that one could possibly criticize about. It humorous, its nostalgic and it doesn't fail to bring back that long lost smile on your face. For those who love animated movies and those who have been counting days for its release, 'Finding Dory' is a delightful treat.

To put it simply, this post is about the Dos and Don'ts while you decide to go out and watch the movie. Please take a look at them to avoid any unwanted consequences.

Dos :
Please!!! Watch it in 3D (Hindi). 'Finding Dory' has been released in 3D English and 3D Hindi all across our country. And you should totally watch it in our national language (Not because of some racism issues. It's just because it is so much more fun in Hindi). Here are a few reasons why you should watch it in Hindi:

1. The Indian accents and languages : Dory is shown to be Punjabi in the film. Her parents Jenny and Charlie speak Punjabi, calling her Dory puttar all the time which is really cute. Two fish in the beginning have been shown conversing in Gujarati. A lot of characters in the movie have been shown to talk in varied Indian accents and different Indian languages which is absolutely relatable. You obviously wouldn't want to miss all the "Oodi baba" and "havve su karu chu dikri" and "Dori puttar tussi fikar na kar" and much more of that.

2. The Hindi muhawaraans : Hindi phrases (Which we all have been hearing since school) have been used in the movie which sound absolutely hilarious. Be it the 'Thik ho jaayi, Sehat banaai aur Rihaai' or the 'Jahan chaah wahan raah', Hindi never sounded more fun.

3. Familiar words : Words such as 'bori bunder', 'kala samandar' make you go crazy laughing. The names of places such as 'Navratna beach, California' or names like 'Sulochana Sarkar' are tremendously funny.

Make sure you watch the movie along with your friends (Who are of your age. Elderly family members and younger siblings are a total no-no).

Make sure you sit at least at a 4-seat radius away from kids because their constant questioning (With their parents answering their questions) and stupid chit chatting during the film might provoke you to yell at them (In front of their parents!). I personally have loathed each and every kid sitting around me. There was especially this 'genius' kid sitting at a short distance from me, who was constantly leaking out plot points from the film ("Arey Dori right jayegi toh thik rahega". "Arey abi Nemo Dori ko bachayega". Bada director bana fir raha tha. He was more annoying than the uncle sitting two seats away from me and snoring. Huh!).

Make sure you hoot at every replay shot from Finding Nemo.

Make sure you actually laugh out loud rather than just muttering "lol" (Its a film made for us. Don't be scared. No one's going to judge you).

Don'ts :

Do not take your younger siblings, cousins or anybody else born after 1997 (At the maximum) to the movie along with you.       (Just like the 'A' certificate that they grant to adult movies, this film should also be granted the 'Movie only for 90s kids' certificate. Anyone above or below this age limit should be prohibited from entering the movie hall.)

There's a reason behind it.
When 'Finding Nemo' was released back in 2003, we (people born in the 90s) had gained maturity. We could relate to the movie. We got all emotional when Nemo went missing and danced joyously when Marlin found him back. Then came the news that 'Finding Dory' would also be made.
Since then we have been awaiting its release. These young (Or should I say amateur) kids won't get the essence of the movie. They won't understand the emotions behind it. They won't rejoice when Crush, the sea turtle appears on the screen. They won't understand Dory's dementia. They know nothing okay. They'll just keep asking lame questions (Like this kid who was questioning his mom as to why she was laughing when Dory said "Acha ye woh waali class hain. Dekho bachchon jab mummy aur daddy ek sath aate hain ......."). They spill popcorn and keep shrieking all the time. Please, baby-sit them somewhere. Just don't get them to watch the movie.

Okay, that the only 'dont's' point.

That's pretty much it.
This film gives an extremely beautiful message about the affection that we share with our family and also that friends are always their to support us at all times.

We learn about trusting ourselves during times of crisis and that where there is a will, there is a way.
(Also that five year olds can be annoying as h*ll and we really have to rethink about having kids after marriage).

Oh! I wish they make 'Finding Marlin' soon (If that's gonna happen).

I'd like to inform you that I've recently released posts on Instagram under the hash tag #keepingitshort (That kept me away from posting here). Follow me on Instagram (nehalchawanofficial) to know more. For those who aren't on Instagram, I'll make sure to post it on my blog soon.
